A new creature in the family

A few weeks ago, my family got a new dog. His owner had recently passed away, and he needed a new home. Somehow the message got to us, and we decided to go look at him. He's two and a half years old, a Maltese cross, and his name is Benji. We immediately fell in love with him and decided to take him home :)
I finally got around to taking photos of him. (All these pictures were taken by me on my sisters camera)

Isn't he adorable??

A new addition to the world

While my family was on our holiday in W.A., we found out that Junita, my sister in law, was pregnant!
She gave us some gifts to open while we were with her family, and they were little things that said "Grandparents" on them. That's how we found out :)
She is now halfway through her pregnancy and is due in February.

My sisters and I are so excited to become aunties, and we can't believe that our brother is going to be a father! We can't wait to see what the baby looks like, and play with it, and take photos of it :)
Anyway, that's all...

I've been shopping...

A while ago my Mum took me to a huge op-shop to do some clothes shopping..
I got three really nice tops, an amazing dress and an awesome hoodie (which I haven't taken any photos of) for less than $40.

This top I actually got from an op-shop in darwin.

See ya!

N.T. Holiday - Part Two

On the twelfth day, we spent the day driving to Kununurra where we parted with Junita's family, and stayed the night at a backpacker's.
Here's some of the views we saw the day we spent driving.

The next morning, we went to the bus stop to meet the bus, and said goodbye one last time to Junita's family.
We were on this bus for 12 hours.
Sometime during the day, we crossed the border from Western Australia to the Northern territory.
That night we stayed in a backpacker's in the middle of Darwin... Which was interesting. Considering it was 10:00pm on a Friday night, it was pretty crazy getting to it.
We were greeted there by Hannah, who decided to join us for the Northern territory part of our trip.
We stayed there for two nights, and then hired a car and traveled to Litchfield National Park. We stayed in a safari tent there for two nights. While we were there, we went to some waterfalls and went swimming.
After that we went back to Darwin and stayed in a caravan park in Howard Springs. We stayed there for seven nights, and while we were there we went to see some sunsets, went the the Mindil Beach Market and just relaxed. On our last day, we left the caravan park, went quickly to see two more waterfalls, and then drove to the airport and boarded our flight home :)

Mum and Dad in front of a HUGE termite mound.

This was at Wangi Falls. It was such a nice place to swim. It had a sandy spot, and then it got deeper. Me and Dad swam right up to the waterfall. It was so fun!

Having a fire in Litchfield National Park

This was Florence Falls. We didn't have time to go swimming, but it looked so nice!
This was the morning we left.

While we were staying in Howard Springs, we went on a River Cruise. It was awesome!

Don't worry. We did see some crocodiles on our cruise, but this wasn't one of them. The ones we saw were small freshwater crocodiles. This was a saltwater crocodile in a cage.

The Mindil Beach sunset.

This is one of my favourite photos :)

Me and Mum on the Nightcliff jetty.
Overall, this was an AWESOME holiday. Everyone asks me what my favourite part was, but to be honest, I didn't have a favourite part. I loved all of it.

W.A. Holiday - Part One

In June, my family, minus my older brother and sister went on holiday for a month.
We flew to Western Australia, to visit my brother's in-laws.

It was Janae's and my first aeroplane flight, and my parents first flight in many years.
We had two long flights, and we all took turns sitting at the windows to see the view. Alot of the time you couldn't see anything beyond the clouds. Other times all you could see was the ocean.
We finally landed in Broome, greeted by my sister in-law's family. As we walked off the plane, we were almost knocked over by the heat, after a day of sitting in nice cool aeroplanes :)

We stayed in Broome, in a caravan park for five nights. While we were there, we watched sunsets on Cable Beach, went shopping, relaxed and swam in the pool..
I had so much fun taking photos on the beach

We saw the camels coming in from one of their rides. They're hilarious.

We went out for tea one night with Junita's family, and some of their friends.
We went to a Chinese restaurant and each ordered a dish, and then shared it all.

One day we went to Cape Leveque. There was nine people in the car, and we were all squished up.
The road was the funnest road I've ever been on! It was sandy, not gravel, and it's was almost like being on a roller-coaster. It was so bumpy and so fun!

It was such a beautiful place.

Another evening on the beach

This is the car that we traveled in. The adults were all quite comfortable, while Mattea, Isaac (Junita's brother and sister), and I were all squished in the back. Not that we really minded.
This was the day that we drove to their home, which is seven hours away from Broome.
It was a pretty fun drive. It was a bit hot and bumpy in spots, but we always had regular stops to stretch our legs.

This place that we went, had all these small crocodiles sitting around in the water. We were standing pretty close to them!

Heating up water for a cup of tea :)

Me, Janae and Isaac

This is the gorge we went to on Isaac's birthday. We had so much fun climbing up and down along these rocks. My arms were pretty sore the next day though :)

Lunch :)

Me learning to ride the manual four-wheeler

Another gorge we went to. We spent most of the time sitting here with the lines in the water. We didn't catch anything though :(

There were so many things we did that I didn't take photos of!
We stayed with Junita's family for twelve nights.
While we were there, we had so much fun watching movies, playing games, going to gorges, driving trains (on Isaac's train set - it's seriously so fun), and eating lots of food :)

*I brought Ken on our holiday to take pictures of him everywhere we went :) I ended up with a great collection of Ken photos.

Stay tuned for part two - Darwin.
